Does parental reading promote literacy skills of children with autism? The Research Works! partnership of Read to Me! Nova Scotia Family Literacy Program and the Canadian Centre for Knowledge Mobilisation answered this question by systematically searching the research literature on literacy and autism. Thirty-seven citations were found, and the four studies that specifically addressed parental reading to children with autism were featured in CCKM SPOTLIGHTS.
