Carol McDougall, Director of the Read to Me! Nova Scotia Family Literacy Program, was formerly the librarian of the Canadian Children's Book Centre where she administered a national collection of Canadian children's literature. She has worked in children's publishing as an editor, and has taught writing for the children's market at the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia. Carol brings to RW! her expertise in children's literature and publishing which informs issues of book quality and shared reading.

Mark Zanna, a University of Waterloo Psychology Professor, is an international and award-winning leader in social science research and graduate student training. He is a member of the Royal Society of Canada, and UW's first Research Professor. Mark is a collaborator in a global research study:  the Effects of Graphic Warning Labels on Adolescent Smoking project. Mark brings his expertise to RW! by helping us solve problems inherent when one conducts research in the "real world."

Tom Carey is the University of Waterloo's Associate Vice-President Learning Resources and Innovation that oversees UW's Centre for Learning and Teaching Through Technology (LT3), Distance and Continuing Education (DCE), and Teaching Resources and Continuing Education (TRACE). Tom and his staff bring technologies and strategies to RW!'s open-classroom courses where practitioners, students, and faculty learn together.

Kathleen Bloom is the Director of Research Works! She is also a faculty member in the UW Psychology Department, and teaches courses in research methods, statistics, and the development of social communication. Kathleen is a member of the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network, and a co-founder and Director of the Canadian Centre for Knowledge Mobilisation. In addition to her administrative role in RW!, Kathleen helps RW! students become active participants in bringing evidence to practice.
